Logix is the design studio of Brandon Houston. The main focus of Logix is on design and development for the web. Logix is located in Chatham, Ontario between Windsor and London but has been contracted by companies worldwide to provide web design and development services. Logix has worked with clients in Canada, US, England, New Zealand, and Australia. The Logix website is in the process of being redesigned so check back. Zimmer Air Services Inc. approached Logix for a full website redesign that included a content management system to allow staff to update the site. The new design offers a brighter interface and improves on search engine optimization and navigation.

The Chatham Girls Hockey Association website was given a brand new look while at the same time setting up a content management system to allow their board members to update sections of the site. The website was set up to allow specific board members to edit only pages that were assigned to them. This allows the member responsible for the Travel league to edit only the Travel page, and so on. Access management was an important request for this client because there were multiple people managing the website and they wanted a way to keep things organized.

Chatham-Kent Economic Development needed a flyer to promote a session on March 25, 2009 focusing on improving employee service skills and establishing strong brand identities. The session takes place at Smith & Wilson Estate Wines.

Kevin Gray is a published magazine writer who was looking for a way to renew his online portfolio. Logix worked in partnership with designer Kim Eddy to develop a new website that effectively displayed his past work which has been seen in magazines such as the New York Times and Newsweek. The website runs on a modified version of the Wordpress CMS Kevin can easily upload new portfolio pieces and post to his blog to stay in touch with his readers.

Parks Blueberries came to Logix to redesign their website and bring a new look to it. They also wanted to ability to manage the pages of the site more easily. The new site uses Wordpress as a content manager and allows the client to update every aspect themselves.

client: Joseph Storey Architectural Conservancy Brochure

The Joseph Storey Architectural Conservancy Brochure had put together an installation at the Thames Art Gallery promoting the past works of Joseph Storey and wanted a way for visitors to be able to see some of his architectural developments in person. Logix designed the brochure to act as a walking tour around Chatham-Kent featuring over 40 locations. The brochure was launched at the official opening of the Thames Art Gallery installation and was very well received.

Quality Pools came to Logix for a revamp of their website which hadn't been updated for quite some time. Focusing on style and and clean interface we came up with a simple HTML/CSS website that presents their business professionally and elegantly. The final result is a small informational website that focuses mainly on their pool and spa product line as well as the saltwater filtration systems they specialize in.

The owner of In4mador approached Logix to rebrand the existing website to offer a more visually pleasing identity and easier navigation. The client envisioned a logo with bull horns to play on the matador word likeness. The resulting logo presents a bold identity that is easily recognizable and stands out more than the previous logo. A vertical nav menu, login system, and search bar was added into the header for easier use of the website.

Smugglers Marina & Roadhouse is a popular hotspot in Lighthouse Cove in Southwestern Ontario. Currently offering current event listing, information about the restaurant and marina, a photo gallery of past events and much more. The website will eventually be expanded to offer a newsletter service as well as a few other planned additions.

C. Penelope Duchesne is a local painter who's work has been seen all around Chatham-Kent. Her most prominent work is probably the giant mural on the Navistar building. The website features her best work in mural, portrait, architecture, institution, and residential painting.

development: Penelope's website was custom designed using a simple HTML and CSS layout. It was built as a simple portfolio solution.

CKSPEAKS is a community site for residents of Chatham-Kent to voice their comments and concerns. It has grown over the past few years providing an outlet for the people. It offers a forum, events calendar, local news feed, business index, and much more.

development: CKSPEAKS framework runs on the Joomla CMS. It provides a robust system to manage all aspects of the site. Banner advertising is handled by OpenAds advertising system.

Duke's Harley-Davidson is a Chatham business offering a wide range of Harley-Davidson bikes and parts. It boasts an incredible showroom and is located right next to world-famous RM Cars off the 401 between Windsor and London.

development: Duke's was built as a Flash website utilizing a Microsoft SQL and Coldfusion to serve content. A simple content manager works behind the scenes to allow an easy method of updating.
